The HDD Firm Adapts Know-How For Wave Energy Project
Pipeline development methodology is making an impression off the coast of Oregon. Not too long ago, the HDD Company finished construction for the first section of an progressive wave energy venture for Oregon State University. PacWave South is a venture based off of research sponsored by Oregon State University. “The initiative represents the first commercial-scale, utility grid-connected wave energy test site in the United States”. HDD served as the main contractor for the design build venture which involved the installation of four subsea 10 inch steel conduits, a small pipeline and an immense concrete vault that can hold electrical and telecommunications hookups for the project.

ISC Services Develops and Debuts Innovative Pipe Fusion Technology
Australian-based ISC Services has worked with water and wastewater authorities in Australia since 2002. Recently, the company has debuted their innovative B-Tech Connections, a system specifically designed for quick, sturdy, trenchless HDPE pipe-to-pipe connection. This system was recently awarded the Abbott Innovative Product & Services award at the 2022 NASTT show. B-Tech Connections greatly increases on-site efficiency, allowing for pipes to be pre-fused, which also allows for precision. B-Tech Connections has shown impressive results, retaining over 70% normal pull-strength, 95% ductility, and 100% flow capacity. Read more here.
